Todd and Melinda Noecker, owners of Ruffner-Wakelin Funeral Homes and Crematory, come from a long line of funeral professionals.
Todd Noecker has followed in the footsteps of his great-great-great grandfather, great-great grandfather, great-grandfather, and father, all of whom were dedicated funeral professionals.
He grew up in Gillette, Wyoming, and attended the Dallas Institute of Mortuary Science in 1987. Then, he returned to the family funeral home in Wyoming and served as Deputy County Coroner until 1995 when he sold the business and moved to Arizona.
Melinda started in the funeral profession in San Bernandino, California, as a receptionist, bookkeeper, and licensed cosmetologist.
Melinda and Todd met while working together in the funeral profession and married in July 2007. Their passion for the profession and love of Prescott had them return to Arizona in 2016 to continue the legacy of Ruffner-Wakelin Funeral Homes as the oldest funeral home in Arizona and the longest-continuous business in Prescott.
