William Robert 'Bill' Smith

Mr. William Robert “Bill” Smith, 71 went to be with his Savior on May 30, 2012, at his home in Prescott Valley, AZ surrounded by his family and caregivers. Bill was born December 5, 1940, in Wayne , West Virginia son of the late Jewell Jackson and William Smith. Bill was joined in marriage to Diana Ashley on June 30, 1963. Bill was preceded in death by his loving wife Diana of Prescott Valley and son William “Bill” Smith of Wayne, Nebraska, great-grandson Skyler Griffin as well as his parents Jewell and William Smith of West Virginia. Also his brothers Joe and Maxie, sister Margaret Ann White. Bill is survived by his three daughters, Deborah K and Mike Griffin of Prescott Valley, Rhonda and John Etheridge of Carthage, Tennessee and DeAnna Roberts of Prescott Valley, AZ; nine grandchildren, Adina, Cory, Billy, Amanda, Ervin, Ezra, Gina, Zachary, Eva and a great grandson Colton; his sisters Betty Moore, Leona Sue Kirk, Norene Blethen, Patricia Webb, Judy Webb and brother Richard. Bill served and loved his wife and family first at all costs. Bill was an honest, genuine and hardworking man. Bill loved camping, the outdoors and of course FISHING. A very special thank you to Granite Mountain Home Care & Hospice for their amazing and compassionate care for him and his family until the end. Funeral Services will be held June 4th, 2pm and visitation will be at 1:00pm at AZ Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home in Prescott, Arizona. Services will be performed by Rev. Gary Graveline and burial will follow at Pioneer Home Cemetery, in Prescott, AZ.
