William Henry Grandy Iii

William Henry Grandy III, age 89, of Prescott, AZ, joined our Heavenly Father on Saturday, February 16, 2019.  Bill was born in Toledo, Ohio to Bernice and William Grandy. He graduated from Irving E. Macombré Vocational High School. At a neighboring school he met and married his high school sweetheart, Diane R. Pawlowicz. They relocated to Sun Valley, CA and raised two sons, William T. Grandy IV, and Richard L. Grandy, Sr.  Bill served in the Army National Guard of Ohio for three years. His professional life included working as an industrial engineer at ITT Barton General Controls from 1952 until 1989.  Bill was a 32nd degree Mason. After traveling throughout the United States he retired in Prescott, AZ, after which he became an avid golfer. He golfed in 19 annual Father/Son golf tournaments beginning in 2000. Bill was preceded by his wife Diane and son William IV. He is survived by his loving second wife, Naomi R. Grandy, and son, Richard (Audrey) L. Grandy, Sr., grandchildren; William W. Grandy V, Jeanette Anderson, Nicholas Grandy, Ricky Grandy Jr., and Kelly Jo Grandy, great-grandchildren; Triston Grandy, Sylus Grandy, Kingsley McCauley, Mason McCauley, and Avalon Grandy. Bill will always be remembered by his laugh. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, March 2nd, 2019 at Rowle P. Simmons Community Center located at 1280 E. Rosser St. Prescott, AZ 86301.
