William David Friend

William David Friend was born in Glendale, California and is survived by five of his children: Marjorie Lynn Friend Farthing, Roger William Friend, Michael James Friend, Ronald Scott Friend, & Diane Lee Friend Bailey as well as 10 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Lynn Dell Rogers Friend as well as two sons: David Bruce Friend & Donald Edgar Friend and one granddaughter Melodi Annaka Friend. "Dave" served in the Navy 1951-54 as a flight instructor at Naval Air Station Miramar in San Diego, CA. They loved San Diego so much that they stayed the next 34 years before retiring and moving to Prescott in 1988. Dave loved flying from an early age and was thrilled when he was able to own a Cessna 150 and operated an aerial photography business for several years. He enjoyed building model airplanes and joined the model airplane club in Prescott. He had a strong faith in God and raised his family in a genuine Christian home. He will be greatly missed by many.
