William C. Walker

William C. (Bill) Walker, age 93, went to be with our Lord, August 28th, 2014. Bill was born Dec 16th 1920, to Collette and Myrtle Walker in Phoenix AZ. He served during WWII in the Army Air Corps from 1941 to 1945 and was honorably discharged with the rank of Staff Sergeant. On September 11, 1943 he married Marion Lanning and they had five daughters together; Kay, Linda, Barbara, Kimmie, and Alaina. After his service in the military, Bill worked for the Riverside County Road Camp in CA for 25 years. He then returned to AZ where he worked as a state livestock inspector for 12 years. Bill always had a passion for horses, nature, storytelling, and family. Bill was preceded in death by his daughters Kay and Barbara. He is survived by his wife Marion, Linda Johnson, Kimmie and Jon Thomas, Alaina and Brad Bennett, 16 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and 14 great-great grandchildren.
