Waneta June Russell, 91, of Prescott, Arizona, passed away January 14, 2019. She was born June 15, 1927 to Charles and Mildred (Wilson) Wooley in Cherokee, Iowa. She later lived in Harlan, Iowa; Minneapolis, Minnesota; and the Los Angeles area. Waneta was preceded in death by husband Don Russell (Prescott, Arizona), daughter Karen Harris (Virginia Beach, Virginia), grandson Christopher McCormack (Kissimmee, Florida), and nephew David Ludvigson. She is survived by her big sister Dorothy Ludvigson (Little Rock, Arkansas); daughters Kathleen Lundell (Two Harbors, Minnesota) Heidi McCormack (Two Harbors, Minnesota) and Sigrid Tornquist (Minneapolis, Minnesota); sons Michael McCormack (South Dakota), Jon McCormack (Lexington, South Carolina), and Lauren (Melissa) McCormack (Studio City, California); stepson John Russell (Cool, California); Cindy Johnson (Montrose, Colorado) who was like a daughter to her; nephews Dan and Tim Ludvigson; 20 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and first husband Robert McCormack (Two Harbors, Minnesota).
