Virginia Phyllis La Barba-Linneman

Virginia “Ginnie” LaBarba-Linneman, 82, of Prescott Valley, passed away on December 26th.

Ginnie was born on June 14, 1940 to Florence and Leonard Ciacci in Bridgeport, CT. In 1956, she met Anthony LaBarba, they were engaged and married in 1957. Ginnie and Anthony had 4 children; Robin, Tony, Mark and Val. Anthony and Ginnie were tired of the cold winters in Connecticut, packed up the kids and family station wagon and headed to California in 1976. They lived in California for a few years and then moved to Arizona in 1983. Anthony passed away in 1991, shortly after that Ginnie moved to Northern California. In 1996, Ginnie met William “Bill” Linneman at a singles dance and it was love at first sight. In 2002, Ginnie and Bill were married in Southern California and then Bill’s work transferred him to Oregon. They enjoyed many adventures over the years, trip to Europe, and cruises to Hawaii, Alaska and the Caribbean. They visited 46 of 50 states. Bill’s work then transferred him to Southern California and then when Bill retired they moved to Prescott Valley Arizona.

Ginnie was blessed with the gift of the gab and met people wherever she went including getting to know the grocery store butcher. She loved going to garage sales in search for a good deal or find a deal for someone in the family. She loved cooking and reading cook books like they were novels. She loved watching lifetime and Hallmark movies. She enjoyed watching football, especially rooting for Patrick Mahomes with the Kansas City Chiefs.

She is survived by her husband Bill, her four children Robin Woodman, Tony LaBarba, Mark LaBarba and Valerie LaBarba. She had 10 grand kids and 13 great grandchildren.
