Virginia A. Knapp (Ginny) died Thursday January 22, 2015 in Prescott, AZ at the age of 77, after a long battle with cancer. Survived by her loving husband Victor I. Knapp as well as their children Cynthia, Victor, Joseph and James, and grandchildren Roni, Brenda, Crystal, Andrew, Stacy and Tristen, and great-grandchildren Payne, Riley, Cy, Joaquin, Kylie, Briann, and Kearlin. Ginny was born in Cape Vincent, NY on October 24, 1937, to Harry and Dorthea Denny. She was one of four siblings Dave, Doug, and Edith. Ginny graduated from Watertown High School in 1954 at the age of 16 and met Victor earlier that same year. They were married in Watertown, NY five days after her 18th birthday. October 29, 2015 will be their 60th Anniversary. Vic and Ginny settled in Arizona and have called it their home for the past 53 years, retiring to Spring Valley in 1988. They lived for the road, and traveled the country every summer in their RV to go camping and fishing. They were devoted Christians and active members of St. Lukes Episcopal Parish in Prescott. Virginia will be fondly remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. She was a fighter and a survivor who will forever remain in our hearts.
