MACIAS, Thomas M., Jr., 75, passed away on June 14, 2017 in Prescott, Arizona. He was born in Glendale, Arizona to Thomas D. Macias and Isaura “Chawa” Martinez. He was the eldest of eleven children. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Betty J. Macias.
Tom proudly served in the United States Army in the 101st Airborne Division (Screaming Eagles) and 82nd Airborne Division (82nd Infantry Division). He was stationed from Ft. Campbell, KY to Ft. Greely, AK; was Honorably Discharged in Ft. Bragg, NC. He was a man of integrity, a loving husband and father, always available for his parents and siblings. He will be missed…
He is survived by his wife Laura and son Scanlon; first wife Virginia and their children Deanna, Rachel, Thomas III, Daniel and Bryon Macias, Six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. His sisters Virginia Flores, Jessie Delgado, Christina Pacheco, Shirley Macias, Diana Abel and Sandra Ledesma: his brothers Joseph, Gilbert and Angel Macias.
The Mass will be held Friday, July 21st at 10:30 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 5641 W. Orangewood Avenue, Glendale. Cemetery services will be at 12:30 PM at the National Memorial Cemetery, 23029 N Cave Creek Rd. (enter on Pinnacle Peak Rd.), Phoenix. In lieu of flowers, please donate to your favorite charity.
