Steven Alfred Pascarelli, aged 58, passed away peacefully in his sleep on June 13, 2024. Everyone who knew Steve deeply cherished him and will sadly miss him. He was a beloved brother, uncle, great-uncle, and friend. Born in Forest Hills, N.Y., Steve spent his formative years in a neighborhood that was more than just a hometown; it was a close-knit community of family members, a place he always considered his true home regardless of where he lived.
Steve’s charisma was larger than life, and those who knew him quickly became like family to him. His infectious laugh, sincere heart, and sparkling eyes made being in his presence a genuine gift. His remarkable patience and empathetic nature attracted many people to him. In his professional life, his colleagues appreciated and highly valued his strong work ethic.
Steve was a dedicated addiction rehab facilitator, regarded as the “best facilitator they ever had” at every facility he worked at. He devoted his career to helping others, especially those struggling with addiction. During his time at Royal Life Center, he built a strong bond with the entire Royal family, and remains close with many of them today. He later worked at Polara Health and Viewpoint Center where he continued to affect countless lives with his passion and dedication. Steve saved lives.
During his free time, Steve found joy in cooking and was always eager to show his culinary expertise, often willing to improvise a delicious meal. He was also a beautiful writer with the soul of a poet, the innocence of a child, and the life experiences of a street-veteran—a unique combination to produce powerful writing.
We will be posting a Zoom link for anyone who would like to share in the hour-long celebration of his life on Friday, June 21, 2024 at 4:00pm Mountain Standard time/ 7:00pm EST.
Instead of flowers, the family requests that you make donations to the SAFE PROJECT https://www.safeproject.us/ an organization dedicated to providing support for overcoming the addiction epidemic in the U.S.
Steve’s life was a testament to the power of empathy, dedication, and love. His legacy of helping others and his vibrant spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him
