Stephen Ronald Rehak

Steve was born in Santa Monica, CA, to Ronald Rehak and Gloris (Waldahl) Rehak. He spent his first few years in California and then his family moved to England, where he attended grades 8, 9, and 10. Steve’s love of gardening began in England, where he spent time with Arthur, their groundskeeper. Steve attended 11th grade in Germany and then returned to San Diego to graduate from Poway High. Steve then went on to earn a Bachelor’s in Marketing from San Diego State. During his college years, Steve opened his first record store, Plaza Music, in Rancho Bernardo. One store turned into two, and his stores eventually led to his life’s work, Backstage Fashion. Leaving California, he moved first to Sedona, AZ, and then Prescott, AZ, growing his business along the way. Steve waited many years to find the love of his life, and at last married Vicky Halleck on June 23, 2012, in the Aldrich Congregational Church. Steve loved to spend time with Vicky and with his family and friends. He loved animals of all kinds and his love of gardening that began in England lasted all his life. Our Steve was an optimist and made us happy every day. Our lives are better for having known him, and we will always carry him in our hearts. Steve is survived by his wife, Vicky Rehak, his mother Gloris Rehak, his mother-in-law Martha Jones, his uncles and aunts- Jim Waldahl, Lyle Waldahl, Lane and Donna Waldahl, Dick and Earlene Blank, his cousins- Cindy and Kevin Brousseau, Jeff and Stacy Blank, Erika and Marty Penner, Meagan Waldahl, Emily Waldahl, Vanessa Waldahl, Erik Waldahl, Rick Waldahl, his second cousins- Kyle and Justin Brousseau, Alexandra and Cameron Blank, Emery Dumprope, Zain Waldahl, Bruce Penner, and as well as many other special family members and friends.

A celebration of Steve's life will take place at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 29, 2013 at the First Congregational Church in Aldrich, MN
