Robert Sturdevant died November 27, 2020 of complications from a fall.  Bob was born October 4, 1955 in Fairbury Nebraska. His parents were Robert and Alaska (Chickie) Quesenberry.

In 1957 Bob moved to McGrath Alaska with his mother and sister. In 1960 Bob moved to Clinton, (Whidbey Island) Washington with his mother and stepfather Dutch Sturdevant. His family moved around a few times and Bob graduated from Anchorage High School in 1974. He enlisted into the Air Force that same year. During that time he met his future wife, Valerie, in Norwich, England. After his discharge from the service Bob attended Embry-Riddle University in Dayton Beach Florida, where he received his Bachelors Degree in Aviation Science Management and a commercial pilot's license on December 12, 1981. 

Bob and Valerie married on August 28, 1982 and welcomed daughter, Ashley, born August 15, 1983.  Bob's flying career started with a small freight company in Richmond, Virginia. After 2 years he went to work for Republic Airlines flying a commuter out of Raleigh, North Carolina. In 1986 Northwest Airlines, Minneapolis base, hired him and so he began his 22 years flying stateside, in Europe and Asia. Bob said " I was very fortunate to have been paid to do something I loved to do."He retired for medical reasons in 2008. He spent a few years in San Diego and then moved to Prescott, Arizona to join his mother, sister and her family. 

Bob is survided by his father Robert Quesenberry (Teiko), daughter Ashley Sturdevant, ex-wife Valerie Sturdevant, sister Janet Madrid Chesnut (Robert) and sister Jo Roddy. Nieces Stacy (Daniel) Padilla, Monica Madrid, nephews Mason Smith and Josia Roddy.

We would like to thank our family and friends for all your support and love.  Little Bobby loved you all.  Ashley and I would like to give a special thank you to Bob's dear friend Kathy Anglin who stayed with Bob and I during his last few days. Her support and love is so appreciated.  Our family would like to thank Las Fuentas Retirement Community, Yavapai Regional Medical Center, Arizona Angels Care Home and Solaris Hospice for the care you provided Bob.
