Richard William Reynolds

Richard William Reynolds, 89, passed away Friday, November 9, 2012 in Prescott, Arizona with his wife and dog, Tiger, beside him. Richard was a sensitive and kind man and his wit, graciousness, and sense of humor were pervasive throughout his life. He is survived by his loving wife, of 31 years, Jo Ann; three daughters Jane Francis Reynolds, Barbara Reynolds Castilla, and Anne Reynolds (Ralph Lichtenberger); four grandchildren Christine, Kevin, Neil, and Elaine (Elli). Richard loved life. He loved the peace and beauty of nature, music, movies, athletics, reading, and riding his motorcycle. He was a philosopher of life; often encouraging others to make the most of their lives and especially those in his family. He was a man of integrity, dignity, generosity, and thoughtfulness. Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, Richard served with honors in World War II in the Pacific Theatre where he earned a Purple Heart. After graduation from the University of Wisconsin, he went into the publishing industry. He worked for Time, Incorporated and then for Forbes Magazine for over 20 years. Dick will be missed greatly by his family and many friends who both loved and admired him. A private service has already been held.
