Richard F. Vollmer Jr. ?Dick?, died November 29, 2005 at his home in Prescott. He was born January 10, 1941 in Brooklyn, N.Y., the son of Richard F. and Virgina M. (O?Brien) Vollmer. Dick was 64 years old. Dick had been a resident of Arizona for fifty years. He graduated from Arizona State University. He was a member of the National Guard, retiring after 23 years as a Sergeant First Class. Dick was a highly respected member of the business community. His career included 20 years with Dayton Hudson Corp. and the last sixteen years as a Director with Lawson Software in Minneapolis, most recently telecommuting from Prescott. Dick was a Eucharistic Minister at Sacred Heart and volunteered his time at the Yavapai County Prison Ministry. Dick was an avid hunter and reader. He shared his gift of humor and love for animals with everyone, and most importantly loved spending time with his family. Dick is survived by his wife Diana, they were married January 25, 1964; his sons Richard F. (Melissa) of Denver, CO. V. George (Kevin) of San Francisco, CA. and Jonathan M. (Angie) of Chelan, WA.; His sister Joyce (Bob) Wickstrom of Redwood City, CA. his brothers Robert (Mary) of Carefree, AZ, William (Karen) of Reno, NV three grandchildren; Isabella, Maxwell and Willem and many nieces and nephews. A Mass to celebrate Dick?s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 3, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 150 Fluery Prescott.
