Dick was married to his loving wife Sydonia for 46 years and raised three children before her passing in 2009. He was a Master Chief in the Navy and had a twenty-four year military career. In 1989, he and his wife left California and moved to Prescott Valley, Arizona where he worked for the Humboldt School District in the maintenance department and then moved to the receiving warehouse. He was active in the Masonic Lodge and was a past Master of Chula Vista Lodge in Chula Vista, California. He enjoyed being an active member in the Order of Eastern Star with his wife and continued to serve in officer positions and travel the state with Eastern Star brothers and sisters after her passing. He was a past Worthy Patron of Golden Rule Chapter Order of Eastern Star and in 2014 he held the office of Grand Marshal for the Grand Chapter of Eastern Star in the state of Arizona. He was also active in Amaranthe and the American Legion. He loved to garden and was known for his beautiful, potted geraniums. Photography was another hobby he loved , and he enjoyed creating DVD movies for friends and family for special occasions. Dick will be remembered by his generosity and kind heart.
Dick is survived by his 3 children, Roy De Vault, Pamela Robles, Mark De Vault, and his four grandchildren, Madeleine De Vault, Bernadette De Vault, Christopher De Vault and Nicholas Robles, all from San Diego, California.
