Rev. Richard Briningstool, 91. Of Prescott Valley, AZ went to be with his Lord, and Savior in
Heaven on March 2, 2022. He was born in Jackson, MI on July 15, 1930 to J.O. and Beulah
Briningstool. He received a Bronze Star Medal for his service in the Army, during the Korean
War, as a Demolition Specialist, and later a Squad Leader.
Richard graduated from Grand Rapids Baptist Theological Seminary and Bible Institute, in May
1958. This is where he met his future wife, and love of his life, Geraldine Jacoby. They were
married on July 11, 1958, and soon after started ministering in their first church. Richard was
Ordained as a Minister October 21,1960 at Herring Lake Baptist Church in Frankfort, MI. He
went on to minister to hundreds of people, and became known as Pastor B. From Herring Lake
he moved to York Baptist in Milan, MI, then to Saguaro Baptist in Tucson, AZ, and finally Faith
Baptist Church in Glendale, AZ. He served until December 2016, and always had time, or a
kind word for those in need. He was loved and will be deeply missed.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, sister Phyills Hale, and beloved wife Geraldine
Briningstool. He is survived by his son Paul (Jeanie) Briningstool, daughter Ruth Briningstool, 3
grandchildren, and 2 great-grandchildren, younger brothers Donald (Vickie) Briningstool, John
(Cherry) Briningstool, and many nieces and nephews.
Richard will be buried with his wife Geradine at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, in Phoenix, Arizona
