Rex died Saturday, Decmber 9, 2006 at Yavapai Regional Medical Center in Prescott, Arizona. Rex was born September 7, 1928 in Hawarden, Iowa; the son of Coburn J. and Leona (Babcock) Burington. Rex was 78 years old. Rex started out working with his father at the Hawarden Gravel Company. He moved to Arizona in 1960 where he built and operated the Triple T Mobile Home Park, in Glendale, AZ. Rex as a young cadet in the United States Air Force developed a love of flying that lasted all through his life. He enjoyed piloting his own plane; especially on hunting trips to Idaho. A great sportsman he particularly enjoyed hunting with his German short hair pointers. He is survived by Thelma, his wife of 37 years; daughters; Sandy (Ron) Gantz and Carol Webb and granddaughter Amy, all of Flagstaff; sister, Donna Blaue and nephew, Mike Blaue, both of Ottawa, Kansas, and aunt, Jean Burington of Carlsbad, CA, Rex was preceded in death by his brother, Bruce and his first wife Erma Peterson, his parents and aunt, Helen Rasmussen. Private cremation at Bradshaw Crematory. The family suggests memorials in his name to the Humane Society, 1625 Sundog Rd. Prescott, AZ. 86303
