Allan died on Tuesday, March 22, 2011 at Pinecrest Adult Care Home in Prescott, Arizona. He was born May 20, 1929 in Swift County, Minnesota; the son of Martin and Allie (Olson) Eliason. Allan was 81 years old. Allan finished high school at Oak Grove Lutheran in Fargo, North Dakota. At Oak Grove he met Harriet Gaarder (Harle). They later renewed their acquaintanceship and were married January 12, 1952. They had a son, Alden (Eli) and a daughter, Renee. Allan spent most of his life involved in mission work. He and Harle served as missionaries in New Zealand from 1960-1963. In 1986, he co-founded Global Outreach, a non-profit mission organization which is still active today serving orphans and widows worldwide. For Global Outreach, Allan made over one hundred trips to Mexico as well as Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, and Honduras. He was also very proud to have served in 1982 as the mission director of Valley Cathedral in Phoenix, Arizona for several years. Allan is survived by his wife of 59 years, Harle L. Gaarder; son Eli Eliason & his wife, Celeste of San Diego, California; daughter Renee Reed & her husband, Bill of Prescott, Arizona, grandchildren David, Julie, Kim, Andy; and great grandson Andrew.

Service:
A celebration of Allan\'s life will take place at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 27, 2011 at the Arizona Rufnner Wakelin Funeral Home, 303 S. Cortez St., Prescott followed by a committal service at the Pioneer Home Cemetery, 1300 Iron Springs Rd. in Prescott.
