Ramona Ruth Huff

Ramona Ruth (Orr) Huff passed away on December 24, 2004, at her home in Prescott, Arizona.  She was born on December 31, 1916, on the family farm west of Whiting, Iowa.  She was the daughter of Ray and Daisy (Waugh) Orr.   She was her dad?s helper on the farm.  She drove the team of horses, the model Ts, and the tractors since the age of 10.  She graduated in 1934 from Whiting High School and married her high school sweetheart, Lawrence Robert  ?Bob? Huff, on June 28, 1937.  Music was her life, she played at high school dances and the clarinet in the concert band.  She sang alto in her church and school choirs.   Ramona moved to Prescott, along with her son John, in 1971 following the death of her beloved Bob in 1970.   Music was still an important part of her life in Prescott.  She was a member of the Symphony Guild, and a school docent in the Music Memory Program.  Ramona was an artist in many different ways, in her cooking, sewing and the visual arts. She was a member of the Westerners and a very supportive member of the Prescott Fine Arts and the First Congregational Church   She is survived by her sons; Michael, David and John; daughter-in-law Patsy Jo; grandchildren: Timothy, Paul, Inger, Aaron and Sarah.  Ramona was preceded in death by her parents and sister Mildred Carter and brother-in law, Fred.   A Celebration of Ramona?s  Life will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 29, 2204 at the First Congregational Church, 216 E. Gurley, Prescott, Arizona. 86301.  The family suggest memorials in her name to the church.  Burial will be on her birthday in Whiting, Iowa.
