Paula Myra Boelts passed on to heaven from her Prescott home looking upon Granite Mountain on August 22, 2007. She was surrounded by family and dear friends in her last days. Born October 2, 1945 in Oceanside, CA. She was the daughter of a Sailor and Marine. Paula devoted her life to children. Raising her daughter Tamara and Son Tom, she also taught for over 20 years. When she retired from teaching children, she taught future teachers. Paula loved to quilt, read, spend time at the beach, study the bible and travel. Most of all she loved being with her family and friends but had a special spot in her heart for children. She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Tom, her son and daughter and 9 grandchildren: Joel, Josh, Jesse, Dustin, Danielle, Shelby, Tommy, Hunter and Maggie. With her husband at her side Paula traveled the world including visits to Morocco, Russia, Europe, the Caribbean and all over The United States. After she retired from teaching and wasn?t busy as Nana or off on another adventure, Paula filled her time with volunteering for different organizations. One of the volunteer positions she enjoyed most was her time at Sharlot Hall. She loved to learn and teach about the history of the area. She was a loving wife, nana, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, friend and Christian. She was always supportive and encouraging to everyone she met. Paula is survived by her Father Salvatore Giuliano, Her Husband Tom W. Boelts, Son Tom and his wife Theresa, Daughter Tamara Wade and her husband Steven and her 9 grandchildren, Dustin, Danielle, Joel, Shelby, Josh, Tommy, Hunter, Maggie, and Jesse.
