Pat was born in Hot Springs Arkansas and moved to Surprise Arizona when he was six weeks old and then to Chino Valley when he was 14. He was a farm boy who became a Cowboy, Musician and Classic Car lover.
He graduated from Prescott High in 1959. He was one of the founding members of the Rhythm Ranch Boys who played throughout Northern Arizona from 1965 thru the early 70’s.
He received degrees in Civil Engineering and Mathematics from NAU with honors in 1966.
His career took him throughout Arizona surveying and building infrastructure in Northern Arizona. While working for Peabody Coal he became a pilot so he could fly to work from Flagstaff to Page.
He was a member of the Route 66 car club in Flagstaff Arizona, winning multiple awards for his 1955 Chevrolet truck.
In 2013 he and partner Joyce move to Chino Valley and he was asked to join the Greater Arizona Country and Western Swing Music Association.
They loved RVing, meeting new friends along the way and playing in music jams.
He is survived by his dedicated partner of 25 years Joyce Wiley; son, Ty (Inya) ; daughter, Tanya; brother; Mike (Joan); grandchildren, Tony (Alicia), Christopher ( Marlena), Tyler, Savanah & Wyatt and numerous great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held on January 3, 2025 at Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home at 10 am and a Graveside service at 12 pm at Chino Valley Cemetery with a gathering at El Charro Norte restaurant at 2879 Arizona Trail, Chino Valley.
