Pamela Orr

Pamela Orr died of a heart attack at age 75 on May 4, 2019, in Prescott, Arizona.Pam, “Penny” to many friends, was born in Chicago, Illinois, in 1943. The youngest of three siblings, she was preceded in death by her brother, Reginald Wojciechowski, and is survived by her sister, Rosalie Burchfield.

Pam had two careers, the first in banking; she worked at the Chicago City Bank for many years, and after moving to Phoenix, Arizona, she went to work for the State of Arizona’s Commission of Agriculture until her retirement. She and her husband, John, who passed away in January 2019, relocated to Chino Valley, Arizona.

Pam was an avid NASCAR racing enthusiast and could name the statistics for just about any driver, especially her favorite, Jeff Gordon. Going to one of the two NASCAR races held in Phoenix each year was always an exciting time for her, as was a trip to the race in Las Vegas a while back.

Pam loved to dance, especially to ‘50s-era rock and roll music. She continued dancing at parties and other events well into her 70s.

She enjoyed working massive jigsaw puzzles, playing card games with the family, or at her monthly Bunco night with “the ladies.”

Pam is survived by her son, Scott, and her daughter-in-law, Rhonda.
