Dibbens, Norman C. - Norman passed away August 21, 2011 at his home in Prescott. He was born on August 30, 1923 in Norwich, Kansas to Clyde and Nina Dibbens. In February, 1943 he became a proud member of the United States Marine Corps, serving his country bravely during World War II. It was while he was at Balboa Naval Hospital recovering from wounds received on Iwo Jima that he met and married Jeannie, the love of his life. They settled in Arizona where Norman had a long career with ADOT. He spent his retirement traveling, gardening and mentoring his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Norman is survived by his children Linda Dibbens (Joe) Meyers; Michael (Susie) Dibbens; Darren (Jeannette) Dibbens; 5 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; sister Virginia Norton. He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Jeannie, daughter Patti Jo; son Timothy Wayne; brother Howard; and parents, Clyde and Nina Dibbens.

Service:
A burial with Military Honors will take place on Monday, August 29, 2011 at 1:00p.m. at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona in Phoenix. A memorial service is scheduled for 11:00a.m. Saturday, September 3, 2011 at the Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home located on the corner of Cortez St. and Carleton St. in Prescott.
