Norma Jean Taylor

Norma Jean ( Tipton ) Taylor was born June 26, 1931 to Emmett & Leona Tipton, in Jefferson City, MO and died November 1, 2008 after a prolonged illness. Her father's work took the family to Robinson, Illinois in 1950. There she met the love of her life Glenn Taylor. They were married July 5, 1952 and celebrated 56 years of blissful marriage this past summer. After several years of marriage about the country in conjunction with Glenn's work, they moved to Tempe, Arizona in 1970 where Glenn was employed at William's Air force Base. After his retirement in 1980, they moved to Prescott were she lived until her death. Norma was an avid quilter and for many years was an active member of the Mountain Top Quilters Club of Prescott. She is survived by her husband of 56 years Glenn; daughter Julie Ann Garand of Reno, Nevada; son Michael Taylor of Prescott, Arizona; sister Shirley Bandy of Paradise Valley, Arizona; 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
