Nehemiah Jaton Owens

Nehemiah was granted his angel wings on January 7th, 2014, at the age of 6, following a life-long illness of Schizencephaly. Nehemiah's life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by him understood that the quality of existence far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. His amazing smile melted the hearts of those around him, and though he never spoke a word, his voice and thoughts could always be heard. Although to many he seemed frail, he had an ability to overcome some of life's most difficult challenges, with a smile and his contagious laugh. He amazed and opened the hearts of people that he met, truly showing the love of God. As we have said so many times, there is 'something special about this boy.' Nehemiah was very happy and enjoyed life as any boy would. He enjoyed his family, being held by those who loved him, Mickey Mouse, riding horses, playing baseball, riding the school bus, going to school, Winnie the Pooh and going to Disneyland! Nehemiah also loved to hear his name be said. Nehemiah was a blessing to his Daddy - C Jason, Mommy - Melissa, and Siblings - Jaylynn, Jaron, Derik, Julia, Jasmine; as well as his grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.
