Nancy Alyson Armstrong

Nancy Alyson Armstrong (Creamer), age 55, died peacefully hand-in-hand with her husband in the morning of January 3, 2020. She passed in her home in Prescott, AZ after a hard-fought 5-year battle with breast cancer.
Nancy was born February 11, 1964 in McKinney, TX, the youngest of five children. Her family soon moved to Prescott where she attended Washington Elementary, Prescott Junior High, and Prescott High School where she graduated in 1982. She was active in the Trinity Presbyterian Church while growing up and had become one of the youngest elders while attending. She went on to study at Trinity University in San Antonio, focusing on computer science. After moving back to Arizona, she began bookkeeping at a small production company in Phoenix before marrying the love of her life and best friend, Rand Armstrong, in 1987. They moved to southern California for a few years, where their first child was born in 1990. In 1992, they returned to Prescott where she started her own bookkeeping business. Nancy was highly skilled with numbers and accounting, and worked her way into her most recent position as the Chief Financial Officer of a local aviation company.
She will forever be remembered for her beauty, courage, resilience, empathy, and adaptability. A lover of travel, Nancy had visited far off places such as Egypt, Greece, Germany, France, England, Scotland, and a host of other countries spanning western Europe. She was passionate about good music, theater, good wine, and deep conversation wherever she went. She was also an avid reader, finding favorites in medieval and renaissance pieces. Her love for books and travel was only surpassed by her love for her family and friends. She made herself available to anyone who needed her assistance and made sure the people around her knew they were important, they were heard, and they were loved. She lived and loved honestly, passionately, and fiercely. She was a leading example of strength and will be missed by those who will remember her.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Barbara Creamer. She is survived by her husband of 32 years, Rand Armstrong, her only daughter Emily Armstrong, her brothers Jeff Creamer and Scott Joyce, her sisters Dawn Montjar and Jayne Creamer, extended family, multiple nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and numerous others.
A date for a celebration of life will be announced at a later time. Those wishing to contact the family to get on a mailing list for the upcoming event may do so at: CelebrateNan@gmail.com.
