Nadine Rayburn Stokum

Nadine R. Stokum died Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at Good Samaritan in Prescott Valley.  She was born May 31, 1922 in Remlig, Texas; the daughter of Steven and Gertrude Wood.  Nadine was 87 years old.    Nadine met and married the love of her life, Russell Stokum, Sr. on November 22, 1943.  She raised three children and later retired from Bank of America as an Assistant Manager.  She and Russell moved to Prescott Valley in 2002.    Nadine is survived by her loving and caring husband, Russell Stokum, of 65 years, children; Russell (Melanie) Stokum of Mesa, AZ. and Cheryl McGowan (Don Bainum) of Prescott Valley, AZ, grandchildren; Troy, Bret, Marshal, Garrett, Todd, Landis, Shannon and Nadine, great-grandchildren; Sky, Brittney, Shannon, Forrest, Elijah, Berlyn, and Tristan.    Nadine is preceded in death by her daughter, Pamela Sue Scott.
