It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Mony Dean Rodgers who peacefully departed this world on July 15th, 2023. He was 77.

Monty was a remarkable husband, father, grandfather, and friend who touched the lives of many with his kindness, wisdom, and unwavering love. He was born on 3/28/1946 in Geneva, IA and from that moment on, his presence brought joy and warmth to all who knew him.

Monty served on the USS Saratoga from 1964 to 1966. He was an amateur ham radio operator and a professional trumpeter and musician throughout his life.

Monty leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. He is survived by his wife Peggy, his children Mark and wife Kim, Tammy and Husband Clint, Terri, and Troy. His grandkids Tiffany and husband Darrell, Jeremy, Joseph and wife Jill, Janelle, Johnny, Jolleen, Arianna, Marissa, Brianna, Rebecca, and Jayson. Along with his 17 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Pamela and his daughter Lisa. The memories we shared with Monty will forever hold a special place in our hearts. His presence in our lives will be deeply missed, but the lessons he taught us and the love he shared will live on through the generations to come.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all those who have shown their support during this difficult time. Your love and condolences have been a great source of comfort to our family.
