Mildred Violet Swartz went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, July 17, 2008, in Prescott, Arizona. Born on April 4, 1908 in Coffeyville, Kansas, she was the daughter of Emil and Anna (Hunenberder) Plattner. She was 100 years old. Mildred lead a long and active life, keeping busy until the very end. She was a frequent volunteer at the Prescott Senior Center, where she loved to be a greeter. She was also a member of the Mile-Hi Square Dance Club and Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church. She loved animals of all kinds and was especially good at training them. She claimed that she could teach them to do everything but talk. Mildred is survived by her step-son Robert Allan Poage of Niles, Michigan, and step-daughter, Helen McKee of Washougal, Washington.
