Marvin F. Parker, 77, died Sunday, April 3, 2011 at Meadow Park Care Center in Prescott, AZ. He was born November 27, 1933 in Old Fort, North Carolina; the son of Arthur and Stella Parker.
Marvin served in the United States Navy during the Korean Conflict as a medic from 1952 to 1955 and was Honorably discharged.
On September 19, 1960 Marvin began his career in the music business becoming only the 16th employee for Warner Brothers Records. He spent 32 years with them; working in accounting and being the top sales person for Warner Brothers serving artists such as Rod Stewart, The Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, and many others. Besides enjoying his career in the music business Marvin was an avid golfer and enjoyed social gatherings with friends.
Marvin is survived by his son Marvin Marozas, and his wife Anne Marie of Georgetown, South Carolina. He is also survived by two grandchildren; Michael and Jason Marozas also of Conway, SC. Marvin was 1 of 9 children and is also survived by his two brothers Earl (Shirley) Parker of Aiken, SC, and Norris (Carolyn) Parker of Marion, NC. Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers; Winslow, Paul, Cecil, Alvin, and Roy Parker as well as his sister Ruth Jones.
Marvin is also survived by his close friend Sherrie Vacek of Memphis, TN, Mike Mirco of Prescott, Mark (Katie) Bailey of Prescott, and his many friends from the American Legion Post #6 in Prescott.
A Celebration of Marvins life will be held 2 p.m. Friday, April 8th at the Northern Arizona V.A. Medical Center Chapel in Prescott, AZ.
