Mark Haven

NO MORE SURGERIES! NO MORE CANCERS! NO MORE PAIN!

Mark W. Haven, age 74, went to live in his heavenly home early in the morning of Saturday, August 19, 2023. He was born February 7, 1949, to the late W. Harold and Lois M. (Dickey) Haven in Green Bay, Wisconsin. He was a 1967 graduate of Green Bay East High School, and a 1969 graduate of Northeast Wisconsin Technical (Institute) College. His first job was as an architectural draftsman with Somerville and Associates until 1983.

In May 1978, Mark received the Gift of Life, a used kidney, from his brother David. (David won the coin toss with a sister.) That kidney served Mark well for over 45 years.  Mark married the former Brenda La Haye in Green Bay on July 1, 1983, recently celebrating 40 years of marriage. Brenda’s Air Force career took them to live in several locations including Dayton, OH, Colorado Springs, CO, Seattle, WA, and Alexandria, VA. They have resided the last 15 years in Prescott, AZ. Mark had different vocations in each location. He “retired” in 1998 at the age of 49 to play Mr. Mom to Will, their newborn son. As they moved around the country, they would find a church home where they were very involved in the church work and family, most recently at the Quad City Christian Church, Prescott, AZ.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda and son, William “Will” Haven of Prescott, AZ; two sisters, Jean (Haven) Hanrahan and Margaret Haven of Carrollton, TX; sisters-in-law, Debra (Bloom) Haven of Green Bay, WI and Cynthia (Robert) Majewski, Green Bay, WI; and two brothers-in-law, Michael (Anita) La Haye of Edina, MN and Mark La Haye of Green Bay, WI.

Preceding him in death were his parents; brother, David Haven; brother-in-law, James Hanrahan; and his wife’s parents, John “Jack” and Donna (Olson) La Haye.

A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 9, 2023, at Quad City Christian Church, 501 S. Senator Hwy, Prescott, AZ.
