Marjorie E. Trammell

Marjorie Elizabeth Roberts Trammell
Marjorie was born January 8, 1925 in Tucson, Arizona, to James Edward Roberts and Bertha Eula Butler Roberts. She had one brother: Joseph Eli Roberts.
Marjorie is a third generation Arizonan. Her younger years were spent with her family in Clifton and Morenci before moving to Silver City, New Mexico where she finished school.
In 1943 she married her husband, of 72 years, Billy Ray Trammell. They have two children: Troy Dale (Barbara) Trammell and Glenda Jo (Bruce) Trammell Worrall. Two granddaughters: Catheryn Senette Trammell and Heather Dian (Dainer) Duncan Lores and one great Granddaughter, Aubrey Nichole Toler. She has two step grandchildren: Jana Worrall and Scott Worrall and three step great grandchildren: Alanna, Andrew and Archer Worrall.
Marjorie served her country as a Rosie the Riveter in San Diego, California, while her husband, Bill, served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. In 1958 they left Silver City and moved south of Prescott to the Z Triangle Ranch. Several years later they relocated to Prescott where they developed Forbing Park Moblile Home Park, now known as Shady Acres. They owned and operated Trammell Construction, developed three subdivisions (one in NM, two in Prescott) and had numerous spec homes throughout the Prescott area. She taught Sunday School and was active in church serving her savior Jesus. She loved to dance, and never met a stranger. She was an outstanding cook, devoted mother, wife and grandmother, an exceptionally loving, gentle person with quiet gifts and talents. She carried herself with poise and dignity never prideful or arrogant. She was the stabilizing force in the family of which she never ceased to lift up in prayer. She was a founding member of the Arizona chapter of Cowboys for Christ, held numerous bible studies in her home, and was active with Campus Crusade for Christ. Her family is so very proud of her.
The sound of her voice, the depth of her Christian wisdom and the calming effect of her presence will be greatly missed. She was and is loved beyond words. Thank you Father God for giving us Marjorie, otherwise known as Mom or Nanny. Now may we, her family, carry on what she has taught us to future generations.
