Marilyn M Withrow

Marilyn Moore Bowlsby Maddalena Withrow born on March 8, 1937, passed away on September 20, 2023. Marilyn was 86 years old, and passed due to complications from Parkinson's.

Born as an only child to John Elbert Moore, and Winifred Giltner Moore, Des Moines, Iowa, she was raised on a farm in Albia, IA, attended Des Moines Technical High School, and married high school sweetheart Benjamin Bowlsby in 1955. She is survived by three sons Jeffrey (Berdie Gookin, 2 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren) Randall (2 grandchildren), Scott (Gigi Stecklein). Marilyn also married Richard K. Maddalena, and Eugene Withrow (her cowboy), who preceded her in death in 2015.

Marilyn enjoyed flowers, (Lilacs were her favorite), music, theater, horses, gardening, country life, and living in rural communities. She was a Legal Secretary, Homemaker, small business owner, Quilter, Quilt Judge, and Quilt Historian. Marilyn's passion was quilting - she had an incredible eye for color and design. Marilyn was also a member of Eastern Star. Marilyn lived in San Francisco, San Jose, Douglas City, Weaverville, Sacramento, CA, then Rogue River, OR, Checotah, OK, and Prescott, AZ. She leaves many dear friends at Granite Gate Senior Living where she lived since 2015.

Marilyn will be joined with her husband Eugene in a private family gathering at the National Veterans Cemetery in Prescott, AZ.
