Marilyn Louise Mccain

Marilyn McCain, 83, of Chino Valley passed peacefully on Feb 27 in Prescott. Born on Dec. 23, 1931, in Dayton Ohio, Marilyn worked her way to Manhattan Beach CA. On a quick trip to Vegas in 1958 she married Mac McCain - they were married for 43 years when Mac passed in 2001. Marilyn was a bookkeeper for Boys and later Smith's food stores in Prescott. In 1975, they moved to Idaho with their daughter Lisa, where they resided for 12 years. In 1987 they moved for the last time to Chino Valley where she called home for 28 years. Marilyn loved flower gardening and sewing, and after retiring in 1992, she started quilting and made several handmade quilts for her family. Marilyn was a kind loving woman who was fiercely devoted to her family and was loved by all who met her. Marilyn is survived by daughter Lisa (Mark) Reid, granddaughters Morgan and Katelyn; son Kent (Cammie) their two children; son Steve, his five children and her sister Jeanne and multiple great-grandchildren.
