Long time Prescott resident, Margery Ann (Smith/Dunbar) Bartz, died peacefully in Prescott, Arizona at the age of 90.
   
    Margery is survived by her daughters, Karen Spellman (Jeffrey) of Flagstaff, Arizona and Cindy Dunbar (Kevin) of Durango, Colorado. She is also survived by her step-daughter, Melodee Bartz (Frank) and her step-son, Toby Bartz (Dionne) all of California. She has two grandchildren, Jodi Ehrlich (Jeff), and Scott Nine (Hollie) and four great grandchildren, Kristofer, Kylin and Ellanore Nine and Kyra Ehrlich.   She is preceded in death by both of her husbands, Peter Michael Dunbar, and Roy Dewayne Bartz, her mother, Enoree Kuntz, her father James M. Smith Sr., and her three brothers James M. Smith, B. Roy Smith and Bailey A. Smith.
   
    Margery was born in Tallassee, Alabama to Enoree and James Smith. In 1943, after Margery’s father died, her mother, Enoree, moved the family from Alabama to Prescott, Arizona. Margery graduated from Prescott High School in 1947. In 1948 she married Peter Michael Dunbar, her high school sweetheart.   After her first husband’s death in 1960, she later met and married Roy (Jody) Dewayne Bartz and remained married until his death in 2015.
   
    She was a member of the First Methodist Church, and a member of PEO (Philanthropic Educational Organization). She loved to work crossword puzzles as well as to play Scrabble. She enjoyed reading, sewing, rug hooking, walking, birding and hiking the hills behind her house. She also worked at the Valley National Bank in Prescott as an Asst. Trust Officer.
   
    A family graveside service is scheduled and Rev. Patti Blackwood will officiate. A celebration of life will follow.
