Madeline Sinisgalli

Madeline Sinisgalli, 87, of Prescott, Arizona, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 27, 2015 at the Marley House in Prescott. She was born on October 23, 1927 in a small town in Italy called San Nicola Baronia near Naples. She came to America when she was 18 years old after World War II ended where she joined the rest of her family. Her dream was to become a nun in the Catholic Church, but in 1952, she married Albert Sinisgalli in Jamaica Queens New York, and had four children, twins Mary and Camille, Rocco, and Joanne. The family eventually moved to California after living in New Jersey and Florida for a few years.
Madeline was a devoted mother and wife. People called her Mama more than her name because of her nurturing spirit. As well as taking care of her children, she also took care of other people’s children and cared for foster children. Madeline was also a seamstress. She was raised Catholic until she was born again in Glendale, California in the 1980s. Albert was an agnostic but came to the Lord before he died of cancer three years later because of Madeline’s godly example and fervent prayers. She also prayed her children and grand-children to salvation. She was a Proverbs 31 woman to its fullest meaning. She also loved talking about the Lord to anyone who would listen to her. She loved to cook and showed her love through her cooking and taking care of her family and friends. She was a caretaker in her later years and was very involved in her church cooking for her church family and serving food to the homeless in California.
She leaves behind her twin daughters, Mary Aldorasi, Camille Aldiero, Rocco (Rocky) Sinisgalli and Joanne LeSassier, eight grandchildren and fifteen great-grand-children.
