Madeline A. Loewy

Madeline A. Loewy, 93, passed away peacefully on New Year's Day, 2013 at The Marley House in Prescott, AZ. Madeline was born on March 29, 1919 in Manhattan, New York. Madeline and her husband, Edward, began raising their three children in New York before moving the family to Bucks County, Pennsylvania in 1956. When it finally came time to retire, Madeline and Ed enjoyed the good life in sunny Naples, Florida for over twenty years. After returning to Pennsylvania, Madeline and Ed spent time with their daughter, Carol Schaumberg and son-in-law Les. Four years after Ed's passing, Madeline and her kitty moved to Prescott, AZ to live with her other daughter, Elaine Herman and son-in-law, Steve. Madeline resided with them until she was in need of hospice services at The Marley House in Prescott, AZ. Madeline was most proud of her family and dearly loved spending time with them along with the companionship of her special needs kitty. One of Madeline's greatest enjoyments was having a hot cup of tea while reading a good suspense novel with her cat curled up beside her and her family nearby. To Madeline, this was heaven on earth. Madeline will be deeply missed by those who loved her. Madeline is survived by her two daughters Carol Schaumberg of PA and Elaine Herman of AZ; their husbands, P. Leslie Schaumberg of PA and Steven Herman of AZ; six grandchildren, Cynthia Bergamini (and husband Al) of PA, Frank Herman of AZ, Sean Loewy (and wife Karina) of DE, Jason Schaumberg (and wife Cindy) of OR, Marc Schaumberg (and wife Cathleen) of PA, and Rachel Loewy of PA; and six great-grandchildren, Alyson and Salvatore Bergamini of PA, Hailey and Megan Schaumberg of OR, and Kerrigan and Rowan Loewy of DE. Madeline's husband, Edward passed away in 2007 and their son, Jerome in 2008.
