Maddie Faye Draper

Maddie Faye Draper, age 33, was born on July 27th, 1989. She passed away from this life April 15th, 2023.

Maddie is the daughter of Kevin and Carla Draper of Prescott Valley, Arizona. Maddie was such a vibrant young woman so full of life. She was a member of the church of Jesus Christ of latter-day saints. She had a strong testimony of the gospel. Maddie went on a mission to Tennessee Knoxville. She was so happy to spread the word of God. Maddie and her mother loved to go to the temple and do ordinance work. When Maddie returned home, she enrolled in college and got her Bachelors and Master’s degree in social work. She followed in her fathers’ footsteps. She embraced her career and was able to help so many people in her short life.

Growing up Maddie and her family loved to visit family back in Iowa especially for the fourth of July and occasionally being part of the parade in her parents’ hometown. She loved the Iowa State Fair. Maddie would eat Iowa tenderloins and was teased that they were bigger than her head. She always had so much fun with her family.

Maddie’s parents were born and raised in Iowa and even though Maddie did not live in Iowa she always knew her roots were there, and Iowa was where her heart was. Maddie and her dad loved to go to Rock concerts together even though her dad was not thrilled about the bands. He took his baby girl arm and arm and rocked the night away.

Maddie was an only child; she grew up with all her cousins and they loved one another so much. Her aunts and uncles will always have a special place in their hearts for her and we as a family promise to keep her memory alive in our hearts forever. Maddie is a much-loved daughter, niece, and friend. She will be so missed by her mother and father. Maddie is our angel watching over her family with Grandma Karmen and Grandma Pauline until we can all be together again in the Celestial kingdom for all eternity.

Maddie is survived by her parents, Kevin and Carla Draper; her Aunts and Uncles, Elaine (Michael) Claspell, Jeannie (Jim) Wuthrich, Salowa (Bernie) Deemer; Cousins, Thatcher (Liz) Claspell, Ari (Jeff) Terry, Ale (Seth) Hall, James Wuthrich, Chase (Sydney) Deemer, Devon Stonehocker, Colton Deemer, and KaDee Deemer, Landon and Liam Terry, India and Ezra Hall, Aubree, Wyatt and Beckett Deemer.
