M Robert Anderson

M. Robert “Bob” Anderson, 85, of Prescott, died unexpectedly Sunday July 21, 2013. Bob is survived by his wife of 61 years, Jeanne, and four sons: Scott (Anne) of Prescott Valley; Steve (Patty) of Des Moines, Iowa; Stan (Jeanice) of Van Meter, Iowa; Stuart (Beth) of Homewood, Illinois; and six grandchildren: Erika, Erin, Ian, Cole, Maxim, and Irina. Bob was born in Kirksville, Missouri on June 15, 1928 to Dr. M.R. and Mary Anderson. He graduated from Iowa State University and the University of Northern Colorado. He taught industrial arts and drafting at high school and collegiate levels before retiring to Prescott in 1992. Bob was active in the local woodworkers’ club. He also volunteered at the Phippen Museum, and he was passionate about steam railroading.
