Lynn Bartlett Nugent, age 82, passed away from complications of PSP on April 17, 2024.
She was born in Minnesota and moved with her family to Prescott in 1948. After graduating from Prescott High School, she joined the U. S Navy. She worked as a nursing assistant at the VA, going on to earn nursing degrees at Phoenix College and the University of AZ. She was the first Nurse Practitioner at the Veterans Medical Center in Prescott and then joined the faculty at Yavapai College. After she earned her Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration at U of A, Dr. Nugent became the Dean of the Nursing and Allied Health Division. She retired as a Faculty Emeritus after working as a dedicated nursing educator at Yavapai College for 24 years.
Survivors include children, Bill Hicks (Todd McGuiness), Margo Levine (Dr. Ira Levine), Scott Wulf-Nugent (Jen Wulf); grandchildren, Daisy and Sage Wulf-Nugent; sister, Debbie Miles (Kimo); nephew, Collin McCarver (Tierney); and numerous nephews and nieces on her husband's side.
She was predeceased by her parents, Lowell and Nancy Bartlett, and her husband, Frank Nugent.
