Luverne A Olson

LuVerne A. Olson ?Sam? 1926-2009, formerly of Minnesota passed away on March 7, 2009 at the age of 83.   Sam is survived by his wife Rosemary, children; Cynthia (Steven) Kramer of Hastings, MN, Barbara (Larry) Ostertag of Afton, MN, RoseAnn (Jeff) Anderson of Hastings, MN, Christine (Tim) Armstrong of Stillwater, MN, Scott (Chris) Olson of Cottage Grove, MN, and Patricia (Kyle) Lindquist of Cottage Grove, MN, grandchildren; Michael, Adam, Kelly, Carl, Cassandra, Nicholas, Paul, Jessica, Brooke, Amanda, Leah, Abbey, Andrew, Hunter, Samantha, Lucas, Mark, Katie, and April, great-grandchildren; Riley and Baby Kramer, brothers; Frank Olson of Bonita, CA, Ray (Jan) Olson of Mesa, AZ, Maury (Joan) Olson of Palm Desert, CA, and Edward (Lorraine) Olson of Rossmore, CA, sisters; Helen Bly of Sioux Falls, SD and Beatrice Grove of Gladwin, MI. He is preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, and 1 sister.   Sam was a member of the American Legion Post 6.  He enjoyed art, gardening, reading, and woodworking.  Sam was most proud of his 19 grandchildren.   A Celebration Mass will be at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 18 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 150 Fluery. With military honors by the American Legion Post 6.   Inurnment will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN.   Family suggests memorials to: Yavapai Humane Society, 1625 Sundog, Prescott, AZ 86301 or St. Vincent de Paul Society, 150 Fluery, Prescott, AZ 86301.
