Lorene Carter

Lorene Carter, age 85, of Prescott Valley, died Friday August 25, 2006, in Phoenix, Arizona.  Lorene was born March 2, 1921, in Henryetta, Oklahoma; the daughter of James E. Watson and Ottie Mae (Schmidt) Watson.    Lorene was married to Ross E. Carter, Sr. on July 4, 1942, in Okemah, Oklahoma.  Lorene and Ross celebrated 60 loving years together prior to his death in 2002.  Lorene was preceeded in death by her daughter; Alice Glenna Jones, and sisters; Naomi, Veatress, Mary Donna and Charlene. Brothers; Albert, Raymond, Herald, Jim Jr, and Tony.  She leaves behind her son Ross E. Carter, Jr., (Sharon) of Roosevelt, Az, daughter; Janice (John) Warren of Ft. Smith, Ark.  9 Grandchildren, 24 Great-Grandchildren and 3 Great-Great Grandchildren.  One brother; Lester Watson of Mesa, Arizona and 6 sisters; Irene Lewis (her twin) of Dewey, Az, Esther Dansky of Melbourne, Fl, Sadie Caswell of Cave Creek, Az, Frances Stingle of Wichita Falls, Tx, Ruby Rackley of Tempe, Az, and Carol Thorpe of Ca.
