Lorene Bernice Taylor

Lorene Bernice Taylor, 88 of Prescott Valley, Arizona, was called home to her Lord on Wednesday, January 18, 2023.

Lorene was born in the country, near Sayre, Oklahoma on March 25, 1934, to Nolan and Waunett (Hammack) Fletcher.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Nolan and Waunett; her brothers, Leroy and Arvis; and her husband, Guymon Taylor. She is survived by “Her Boys” William “Bill” Taylor and Paul Taylor; 5 grandkids; 12 great grandkids; and brother, Kenneth Fletcher and sister, Lois Crawford.

After a short while in California and Wyoming, Lorene and Guymon moved to Bagdad, Arizona and raised two children. She was totally dedicated to her children in all aspects of their lives.

Lorene touched the lives of many students while working as a teacher’s aide for many years in Bagdad. After retirement she joined Guymon in Prescott Valley, where she became a member of the Robert Road Baptist Church. She made many lifelong friends there.

Lorene loved reading, embroidery, and made many quilts for all her kids, grandkids, and great grand kids.

We who loved her are grateful for her life and her example. She will be greatly missed.
