Lillian E. Dixon, 94, passed away at Margaret T. Morris Center in Prescott, Arizona, on June 8, 2012. She was born August 22, 1917, near Fromberg, in Carbon County, Montana, the daughter of Reuben L. and Mabel L. (Larrabee) Balder. She married Everett H. Dixon in Cody, Wyoming, on February 5, 1938. Everett and Lillian lived on various ranches on the Northfork near Cody for 17 years. In 1956 they purchased a ranch on the Southfork. In 1981 they sold the ranch and retired in Cody. In 1996 Lillian moved to Lander, Wyoming to be close to her oldest daughter, Marlene. She enjoyed living near the Lander Senior Center and participating in the activities. In 2007, at the age of 90, her health began to fail and Lillian moved to Prescott, Arizona to be with her youngest daughter, Janice, and son-in-law, Jim. Lillian was preceded in death by her husband in 1994, her parents, her brother, Bernard A. Balder, and her son-in-law, Bruce G. Armentrout. She is survived by her daughter, Marlene Armentrout, her daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Jim Howe; grandchildren Jandi (Henry) Ford, Jeffery Armentrout, Tammy (David) Anderson, and Brenda (Alan) Hesser; great-grandchildren Emily and Joseph Ford and Kaila, Cory, Connor and Kalli Anderson. The family wishes to express appreciation to the loving, caring staff at the Margaret T. Morris Center who treated her with respect and kindness during her final years. Cremation was handled by the Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home. Private family services will be held at a later date in Cody, Wyoming, where Lillian’s cremains will be interred next to husband at the Riverside Cemetery.
