Leonard D. Lambright of Prescott AZ, age 37, died peacefully in the arms of his wife on March 21, 2021 At Yavapai Regional Medical Center after valiantly battling cancer.Leonard was born in Bronson, MI to David and Velda (Bontrager) Lambright on April 29, 1983. He graduated from Whispering Pines Private school.
Leonard grew up on his dad's farm and knew what dedication and hard work was. He mastered anything he put his mind to from his very first job at a sawmill, then a machinist, a business owner of a retail store, and lastly becoming a licensed realtor.
Leonard was a devoted husband and was happily married to the love of his life, LaLainya (Smith) Lambright who was his partner in life for 15 years at the time of his death.
Leonard is survived by his parents, 10 siblings (5 brothers and 5 sisters), along with 3 nephews and 4 nieces.
Leonard had an unreserved love for life. He loved to travel, meet new people, connect with old friends, and learn new things. He was a passionate seeker after truth and not afraid to blaze his own trail. He was dependable and responsible. If something was broken he was the one to fix it. He embraced people and life with a warm smile and open heart. “Trust the process of life” became the words he often shared with his wife and others as he faced an unplanned journey with cancer. Leonard leaves a legacy of having lived well, loved well, and died well.

——
“Death is nothing at all, I have only slipped into the next room. I am I and you are you. Whatever we were to each other, that we are still. Call me by my old familiar name, speak to me in the easy way which you always did. Put no difference in your tone. Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow. Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes we enjoyed together. Play, smile, think of me. Let my name be ever the household name that it always was. Let it be spoken without effect, without the trace of shadow on it. Life means all that it ever meant. It is the same as it ever was, there is unbroken continuity. Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight? I am waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near, Just around the corner. All is well. ”
