Leona Joy Harvard

Leona Harvard was born in Amarillo, TX on May 30, 1918 where she lived on a ranch with her family. Leona was a loving and very caring mother. She worked double shifts as a waitress just to support and raise her children. She made sure that every weekend she had enough money to take the children out to eat and see a movie. Leona married her late husband, Pa, in 1963 and lived the cowboy life with him for over 25 years. Leona lived with her son Butch and daughter-in-law Melody for the past 19 years, the last 2 years were spent living in Gillette, WY. In May of this year at the age of 92, Leona was baptised. Leona passed away at home with her children by her side on Thursday, September 30, 2010 in Gillette, WY. Leona is survived by her three children; Butch & his wife Melody, Mary & her husband Rick, Alan & his wife Rita, nine grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and four great great grandchidlren.
