Laverne Harris

LaVerne Harris, 93, known as “Verne” passed away on July 1st, 2018, in his beautiful home. He was born in Nebraska on July 27, 1924.

He was a longtime resident of Prescott, Arizona. He moved here from southern California with his wife Helen, after retiring. He was a World War II veteran. He spent his days always working on building things out of wood and was a very multitalented woodworker. He loved his home and gardens and fed the birds that visited everyday. He adored little Molly the Poodle and two cats. 

He is survived by his daughter Kaaren and son Bruce and two stepsons Mike and Patrick. He had eight grandchildren and six great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. He will be sadly missed by all. 

He will be laid to rest at the Veteran’s Cemetery in Prescott along with his wife Helen and a twin brother LaValle Harris.
