Kristina Wells

Kristina Wells of Chino Valley, Arizona fell asleep in the Lord Friday September 1, 2023. Kris was born in Washington DC on September 23, 1953, to parents Charles and Helen Wells. The family moved to Chino Valley when Kris was 10 after her father (Charles Wells) retired from the Air Force.

Kris attended Chino Valley School and graduated from Prescott High School in 1971. Kris worked for The Robert Widen Company for a number of years until receiving a job with the Yavapai County Assessors office where she retired 30 years later.

Kris was a partner with her mother (Helen Wells) in a lumber store business as well as dress shop. Kris enjoyed riding her horses growing up and rode in several parades to advertise for the 2 stores. She was awarded best horse entry in 1978's Chino Valley Pioneer Parade. Kris enjoyed being a part of a trail ride group as well as volunteering for the Man Against Horse Race years ago. Kris was also a proud member of St. George Orthodox Church. What made Kris happiest was her truck in the driveway, her dog by her side, Christmas and Family.

Kris is survived by her sister Marta (Jim) Fosnough and brothers Steve Wells and Carson Wells, Cousins Beverly Motz, Steven (Amber) and Lily Motz, Cameron (Jacque) Madison and Reese Motz, (God son) Tyler Motz and Paul Hicha.

A funeral service will be held for Kristina at St. George Orthodox Church, 609 W. Gurley St., Prescott, AZ on Tuesday, September 12, 2023 at 10:00 am, to be followed by a graveside service at Chino Valley Cemetery, in Chino Valley, AZ.
