Kevin Mark Perry, 58 of Prescott, Arizona passed away at home unexpectedly on Tuesday, November 3, 2015. Kevin was born in Ottawa, IL on Oct. 22, 1957 to Robert and Anna Christine (Martin) Perry of Davenport, Iowa.
He is survived by his dear mother Anna Christine Perry; sister, Diane Perry; loving wife of 33 years, Gigi Perry, and four children, Kathryn Perry, Meghan (Karl, Jr.) Sheltz; Michael Perry, and Douglas Perry. He is preceded in death by his father, Robert Eugene Perry and sister, Kathleen Perry into heaven.
Kevin graduated from Assumption High School in 1976, a charismatic, athletic young man who served as Quarterback for the football team, and participated in basketball and track and field. He attended the Northern University of Iowa, and then moved cross-country to attend Arizona State University. It was during his time at Arizona State that he met his life-long companion, Gigi (Pursell) Perry, and they were married in the summer of 1982. Shortly after they moved to Prescott, Arizona where they settled and raised their children.
Kevin served the Prescott area as a community expert in the window covering business for over 25 years. He was well known, not only for his superior knowledge and skill within the industry, but also for his outgoing personality and exceptional people skills. He was a social butterfly and his servant leadership stood out in all of his encounters.
Kevin was known for possessing great wit and humor, and his enthusiasm and passion for having fun in life. Family and friends delighted in many movies, great restaurant experiences, and sporting events with Kevin. He especially enjoyed watching and celebrating his home state college football team, the Iowa Hawkeyes. He shared many rounds of golf with his father and friends. More recently, his favorite sport to play was Pickle ball. He was Prescott’s first USAPA Ambassador.
Others knew Kevin for his persistence in friendship, and genuine concern for the well-being of those closest to him. He provided guidance, inspiration and encouragement to many people throughout his life. He enjoyed playing an active role in his children’s lives as a mentor and father, and watched them all grow to be successful young adults.
A man of faith in the Lord, Jesus Christ, Kevin now joins his almighty Father in heaven. He will be deeply missed by Friends, Family and all those he touched throughout his life.
Memorial services for Kevin will be at 11am on Saturday, November 14 at First Baptist Church, 148 S. Marina St. Prescott, Arizona.
