Kevin M. Jordan

Kevin Malachy Jordan, 57, passed away on June 4, 2014 in Prescott AZ after a courageous life undiminished by cancer. He was a native of Stamford CT before moving to Prescott AZ. Kevin attended St. Mary’s Elementary School and Stamford High School. He pursued a career as a painter and ultimately founded Jordan Painting and Decorating in 2001. In his youth Kevin was an altar boy at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, was an avid tennis player, golfer, and Gaelic footballer. Kevin was a gifted musician and song writer, performing professionally in CT, FL and AZ as a folk singer and jazz musician. He had a deep love for his Irish heritage and culture, and lived his true Irish spirit in song and the art of storytelling. Kevin was a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, a fourth degree Knight of Columbus, and member of Sacred Heart Church of Prescott. Kevin will be remembered by many as a loyal friend, a gifted storyteller and as one who took joy in helping those he could. His own spiritual path included a love for nature and animals, especially those he personally cared for, including his loyal companion Buddy, a rescued Siberian Husky. Kevin is survived by his son Canaan Jordan of Tanana, Alaska; his mother Elizabeth Jordan of Prescott AZ and his loving aunt Mary Lynam, also of Prescott; also by brothers Sean Jordan of Roanoke VA and Neal Jordan of Palm Beach Gardens FL, and sisters Sheila Jordan of Phoenix AZ and Maureen Jordan Josenhans of Dayton OH; also by nephews Michael Fasano, William Harp and Zaccari Harp, and nieces Rebecca Harp, Keri Jordan, Danielle Jordan, Caitlin Fasano and Tristin Harp. Kevin is preceded in death by father Edward Jordan and brother Brian Jordan.
